Free Pitch Deck Template Generator

Answer a few prompts about your startup and get a proven 10-slide pitch deck outline — problem, solution, market, traction, team and the ask — ready to build your deck around.

What is the pitch deck template generator?

A pitch deck template generator is a free tool that gives you a proven, slide-by-slide outline for an investor pitch deck. You answer a few prompts about your startup — the problem, your solution, market, traction, team and the ask — and it produces a structured 10-slide outline in the order investors expect to see it. Slashit's generator runs in your browser and fills your answers into each slide, with guidance where a section is blank, so you have a clear skeleton to build your actual deck around instead of guessing what to include.

How our free pitch deck template generator works

1

Add your startup's one-liner, problem, solution, market, traction, team and ask.

2

Get a 10-slide outline

The tool lays out the classic pitch structure with your answers filled into each slide.

3

Build your deck

Copy the outline and use it as the skeleton for your slides in Figma, Slides or PowerPoint.

What can you use the pitch deck template generator for?

Preparing for a first investor meeting

A standard slide order exists because investors expect it. Following it means they can follow your story without hunting for the basics.

Building a deck outline before designing it

Getting the narrative right in text first avoids redesigning slides after the story changes.

Writing a send-ahead deck

A deck read without you present has to stand alone, which means more explanation on each slide than a presented version.

Pitching internally for budget

The same structure — problem, solution, evidence, ask — works for internal proposals as well as fundraising.

The standard pitch deck slide order

Investors see hundreds of decks and expect roughly this sequence.

# Slide What it answers
1 Problem Whose pain is this, and how bad is it?
2 Solution What do you do about it?
3 Product What does it actually look like?
4 Market size How big could this get?
5 Business model How do you make money?
6 Traction What proof do you have so far?
7 Competition Why you rather than them?
8 Team Why are you the ones to do it?
9 Financials What do the numbers look like?
10 The ask How much, and what for?

Tips for getting the best results

Keep it to about ten slides

Investors spend a few minutes on a first read. A long deck doesn't get read more thoroughly — it gets abandoned.

Lead with traction if you have it

Evidence that people want this outweighs everything else. If your numbers are good, don't bury them on slide six.

One idea per slide

Dense slides get skimmed. If a slide needs a paragraph to explain, it's really two slides.

Be specific in the ask

State the amount, the runway it buys and the milestones it funds. Vague asks suggest vague planning.

Never claim you have no competition

It reads as not having looked. Name the alternatives, including doing nothing, and explain your edge.

Frequently asked questions

Does this design the slides for me?

It creates the written outline — the content and order for each slide. You then build the visual deck in your tool of choice using the outline as a guide.

How many slides does it cover?

The classic 10: title, problem, solution, product, market, business model, traction, team, competition and the ask.

Is it free?

Yes — it's free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser.

How many slides should a pitch deck have?

Around ten to twelve for a seed-stage deck. The classic ten-slide structure covers everything an investor needs for a first conversation.

What goes in a pitch deck?

Problem, solution, product, market size, business model, traction, competition, team, financials and your funding ask — roughly in that order.

What's the most important slide?

Traction, if you have any. Evidence that customers want what you've built is more persuasive than any projection. Without traction, the team slide carries the most weight.

Is my pitch content private?

Yes. Everything is generated in your browser, so your business details never leave your device.
