# Slashit

> Slashit is a text expander, AI sentence rewriter and clipboard history app for Mac and Windows. It helps writers, freelancers, founders, marketers, sales reps, customer-support agents and anyone who writes for a living save time by typing short codes that expand into full messages, polishing drafts with one AI hotkey and pasting anything they have ever copied.

## What Slashit does

- **Text expander.** Type a short trigger like `links` and Slashit expands it into a full snippet (portfolio URLs, email signatures, common replies, code blocks). Works in any text field on your computer.
- **Dynamic templates.** Triggers like `/projectchat` open a picker of reusable templates (proposal, invoice, agreement, completion). Templates support `{{placeholders}}` that prompt you to fill in client name, project name, etc. before inserting.
- **AI sentence rewriter.** Select rough text and press Cmd+Shift+I (Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows) to polish grammar, tone and clarity in place.
- **Clipboard history.** Press Cmd+Shift+9 to open a picker of everything you have copied — text and images — and paste any item back.
- **Works everywhere.** Gmail, Slack, Notion, Discord, WhatsApp, Intercom, HubSpot, ClickUp, Perplexity, Outlook, code editors, browsers, native apps — no per-app integration required.
